An Introduction to Language

 

 This book is great that it gives you lots of information. But for people
like me who have not focused on "grammar" in a long time it is
EXTREMELY hard to read and get through. (And I am reading this book for
the second linguistics class I have taken!). They assume that you know a
lot of linguistics and grammar terminology - which is a very bad
assumption - because if you don't know what the terms mean or haven't
studied grammar in a long time you will be totally lost. to downlad click here




 The comprehensive curriculum books used to be organized by week, with detailed lesson suggestions at the beginning of each week's group of practice sheets. This new edition has decent worksheets, but is missing the week-by-week layout. Now all of the worksheets are grouped by type - numbers, letters, shapes, etc. Though I am perfectly capable of designing my own weekly plans and compiling the appropriate worksheets and activities (I am a credentialed elementary teacher who now stays home with my kids), the reason I purchased this was for convenience and to save myself time. Perhaps the books for other grades still include the weekly layout, but this Preschool edition does not.klik here
